Starting Nursery

Henry Allen Nursery School provides free, structured educational experiences based on learning through play for 2-5 year olds.  Sessions are led by highly skilled qualified teachers and nursery nurses.  At Henry Allen Nursery School we aim to provide a happy, secure and caring atmosphere which encourages young children to flourish and grow as learners.

Morning session time:  9.10 until 12.10

Afternoon session time:  12.10 until 3.10 

Lunch Club:  12.10 until 1pm (at nominal charge)

Funded 3 and 4 year-olds are entitled to 15 or 30 hours of free education. This can be taken as five morning OR five afternoon sessions, not a mixture of both.  30 hours sessions are from 9.10 until 3.10.  We also offer parents the opportunity to pay for extra sessions and a lunch club.  So if you need childcare for your child for five days a week, full time, we can provide it!  Please contact the office for further information.

Two year olds are funded from the term after they are two if parents / carers are eligible. We do also accept paying two year olds as soon as they turn two.  Priority is given to funded two year olds.  We do not offer full days for two year olds.
